Metal Detecting: Nokta-Makro Pulse Dive Review
Second, the simplex, only the pulse dive is probably the number 2 most requested review. I have I’ve, been getting tons of emails, personal messages when you do in the pulse dive when you do in the pulse type well, here it is so I always like to show off the box.
It’s, a box inside of a box, so the cardboard box was the same graphic as this here. So I just the cardboard box is already out in the trash. This is the nice water-resistant hardshell case that comes with it, so it’s, pretty neat, but this was the box.
Basically, right here goes over everything, pulse induction technology, scuba, detector and pointer to in one set packed it in design all that good stuff. Right here, pulse induction built-in wireless module, audio vibration, LED alerts LED flashlight, all that good stuff, but on the back, this is where the meat and potatoes the nerd and stuff that we all came to see right.
All right, of course, so check it out here, operating principle, pulse induction operating frequency, 3 kilohertz frequency shift. Yes, waterproof up to 200 feet: 60 meters, holy cow built-in wireless module; yes, detection alerts, audio vibration, LED you can do a combination of all three or one or the other, so sensitivity, five levels of adjustable sensitivity, scuba detector mode.
The length is 39 centimeters. 15. Point. 3 inches in pinpointer mode, it is 28 centimeters, 11 inches the weight in scuba detector mode is 419 grams, so just under a pound there. Fourteen point: eight ounces, including the coil cover in pinpointer mode to 86 grams 10 ounces, including the hardshell case 1650 milliamp hour.
Lithium polymer battery two hours charging time and a warranty of two years, and here’s, everything that comes included in the box. Here we got security, lanyard USB trim. I’ll, be showing all that off here minute.
This is the yellow version. You can pick up, yellow or black 2-year warranty and there’s, all the FCC and all that good stuff. So there it is. You want to pick one of these bad boys up who are you gonna call Craig at show me treasure all the links down in the video description below he is my guy.
Just let him know the hunter GT cinta that is Craig at show. Me treasure links down below. So what do you say? We open this hardshell case up and see what’s inside alright, so I have it open and when you open it up, be sure how it is organized you’re gonna want to get it.
It only goes in certain slots. Certain ways so make sure you kind of check it out how it goes in there like Tetris sorta. I have already used this one. I use that too, like yesterday, so I put it back pretty close to where it was there’s.
A few things out of place, but it doesn’t really matter for the video I’m gonna read this real quick. I’m gonna waste, a minute here of your time, important when using the pulse dive underwater or while washing it, one of the coils must be attached.
You cannot change the coil underwater when using the pulse dive in sand. The dust protection cap must be attached to the other coil that is not mounted on the device if sand is stuck on, the o-ring remove the o-ring and after washing it with tap water, attach it to the coil and make sure that it sits snugly in place.
Do not wash or immerse the coil in water when it is not mounted on the device, so there you go very important. So it comes with your warranty card. Your instruction manual, some literature right there and let’s, go ahead and dive into it.
Got our little belt loop, I almost call it the lanyard it’s, not the Wayne. It it’s, the belt loop right there you can clip it on and it does have to. You can slip the belt through see right here and get my finger through there’s, a black part.
You can slip your belt through there or you can just hook it on with the metal hook in there. Here is the actual end unit. I have the lanyard attached to it, so it does come with this nice little lanyard and wrist strap one of those little carabiners carabiners, whatever the heck, you call them there and three buttons there on the in power, adjust and function there in the middle, all right And then it comes with a little dust cover for the pinpointer end here, so there is just comeback: slides right in there like that, and you got a nice little dust cap for gonna move.
This back here is the scuba end of it right there and look at this comes with extra o rings. I saw that in the thing, and I was super happy to see that extra set of a rings that covers the whole device.
You got a whole ring on the end here. You got an o-ring on the in here. You got an o-ring on the in here, so there’s, an another oring right there and there’s, one on the tip in here too. So there’s, multiple rings on this bad boy, and they give you a complete extra set right there.
Pretty neat – and this is the dust end right here – for land use – only do not use for diving. So I’m gonna keep that sticker on there, and you can tell see the vents on the back there. It lets the speaker come in just a little bit louder.
It is dust proof only this one. If you look at this one, it is totally sealed on the in nothing, but you can hear the speaker pretty good, underwater and everything even above land. So I’m, not sure if I’m ever even gonna use this one.
I may just keep that one. I don’t know I don’t know, and then it comes with the USB cable right there, and that is everything out of the box and nothing left in the box. So there it is. That is basically all that comes in the box, so it’s, quite a nice little kit with the water or water resistant case.
I’ll, keep want to say water proof, because this is water proof to 200 feet. 60 meters. Obviously this water resistant case, so it’s. Pretty nice, I mean it’s, a nice well-built case yeah, it’s. It’s.
Really nice hard case there. I don’t know. I’m, pretty impressed with this thing. So far, everything seems to be working good, charged right up, had no issues at the lake yesterday so check out at the end of the review here.
Some lake footage so without further ado, what do you say we put it together, run through the buttons and then, after that we run it through some air testing and see how it does all right. So I got the pointer IND on it right now, so it comes with these little arrows see.
So when you line it up, you got the two little arrows line up and then you twist it and they don’t line up anymore when it’s connected. So the the detector or the scuba end has a little arrow right. There that you will line up with this arrow once you do it once you’ll, never need the arrows again.
You can peel them off technically after you’ve done it once or twice. It only goes together. One way it’s super easy. They just put them on there to guide you for the first time you go on, so we got three buttons on here.
Power function adjust so to power. We just hit it once comes right on you hear beep. It’s on so hit it again. The two lights come on for a second and then dududu, and you hear that power off type to them.
So once just real, quick tap and it’s on hold it and it turns back off. Ok, so let’s turn it back on and if we want to retune boom, just a quick press of the button just that it’s retuning. So if it’s false in or anything like that, boom, a quick press retuning just like that, so let’s, go ahead and power it back out.
I don’t want it to be detuned right away, so there we go it’s back on so function. What happens if I hit that, once it’s, going to cycle through vibration, audio or vibration and audio both? So three different levels right: there you just cycle through them, you’re gonna, have my break and you can feel that vibrating you can’t hear it, but you can feel it so: vibration, audio audio and vibration or vibration.
Only so those are your three different adjustments right. There audio only vibration, only or a combination of both if we hit the a button, real quick. What does that do? Well, it turns on that LED flashlight right there, so just a quick press of that button does that what happens if we hold down a you’re gonna hear that beep? Well, that means that our LED is active or D active, so see right here, this red top ones, the red one we’re gonna hold it down.
We hear that beep see it flashing now and it flashes with the beats so slow, flash faster all right. So it’s, a modulated flash and he hold it again and there’s. No, no visual cue, so that’s. What happens if you hold down a okay, so hold down? F, nothing happens, all right, nothing on it.
So no did it do something anything yeah, nothing when you hold down. I think I just got too close to that thing. So nothing when you hold down F, just the other two buttons power is to detune and this or that will turn it off, and this one is for the red.
So a quick one, flash light, quick press hold it down and you get that goes back and where you can just hold it down and it’ll go back and forth in between both of them all right. So that is that, how do we adjust the it does? Have frequency shift? Forty different frequency shifts okay, so we’re gonna hold down F, and then we’re gonna press the power button.
We’re just going to keep pressing power. Oh boy, that’s, a hard press with one hand here, so we’re just going to keep doing that and that’s. How we cycle through different frequencies, what happens if we hold down F and hit a 1 2, 3, 4, 1, 1, 1, 2, 1.
2. 3. 4. There’s, 1, 2, 3, 4 and then a long one. That means you’re at level 5. Ok, so that’s. How we adjust the sensitivity, functional down function and hit a hold down function and power is the cycle through frequencies? Hold down function and adjust is cycle through five different sensitivity levels.
Ok, so there’s. Quite a few button combinations to play with to do there’s. A lot to this pin pointer, if you hold it with the LEDs down and you hold down function and adjust you’re, putting it into dive mode, which means it’s, going to turn off the buttons.
So when you go 200 feet, the pressures not gonna push on these buttons that that depth pressure is actually going to activate these buttons, so that will put it in dive mode and then basically, it’s. Only gonna function when it’s held a certain way and when its flipped over its not gonna function at that point, and then, when you flip it back over it’s, gonna function read the manual make sure you’re reading through every little button adjustment.
I don’t want to miss something. I may very well miss something that’s, why they give you these darn manuals and yes for this review, I actually have it open on the side for this review. In case I needed the glance I didn’t have to write there button just in case I needed to it.
Was there for me so that’s, that’s. The button so power function adjust right there and combinations of all three to place it into its different modes. So is it a complicated pointer? No, I’m, not gonna say that, but it’s, not just a one-button operation.
To get through everything there’s, three different buttons for a reason to get through all the different there’s. Quite a few functions on this bad boy to lock out the buttons to adjust. It turn the LED, not the front LED, but the back one.
You know that’s, the that’s, the front one hold it down for the visual clue, one right there. You know if you’re underwater and you want, or if you’re deaf, maybe or something like that. You know they got vibration and visual cues there from nakta macro with the pulse type here.
So excuse me. So what do you say? We get the ruler out and see what sort of distance we’re. Getting I don’t like to say depths because it’s, an air test, so see what sort of distance we’re getting on the old ruler with this end, and then we’ll.
However, if you have the pulse dive disregard that safety, you know that’s rough. You’re, never gonna get underwater. You’re. Never gonna go find anything all right here’s, a little BB. Let’s find out.
Does it hit a BB sitting in it about an inch about a sixteenth under an inch, so it’s, definitely hitting a BB. I got all sorts of stuff, just all my little test stuff that I use for air test right here.
So let’s. Try this thin 10k women’s. Gold ring very thin wedding band here, so looks like two and three eighths: they’re two and three eighths on that. Let’s. Try a dime! How about a silver dime there’s, an old silver rosy, 1/16 past two and a half? What’s that 9/16 two and 9/16 on a dime? Let’s! Try a copper penny here! A wheat penny! We’re right at three quarters.
You know two and three quarters on the penny two and three quarters on the penny. We’re, reaching out there and touching somebody let’s. Try this war nickel here well past three inches on a nickel all right: past 1/8, almost three yeah right at three and a quarter right at three and a quarter on a nickel.
Let’s, try a silver quarter right at two and three quarters. Two and three quarters so it likes the mass of that nickel. It likes them at well past three inches on this one under three inches on a larger coin, but there’s, not as much mass on a silver coin as there isn’t a nickel here.
So let’s. Try something big here: let’s! Try this big old silver yeah! Look at that right up about a sixteenth under three inches. Well, let me let me get it right in the middle right at three inches right at three inches, so it definitely likes the gold stuff.
The or the high mass objects like a nickel yeah past three inches on that one right there. So let’s. Try a big old silver ring up big Hollow. Look at honking Silverman! Let’s! Try that it past two and a half all right, so it’s.
Definitely like in these nickels a vehicle. Let’s. Try vehicles instead of a war, nickel, a silver nickel, yeah so still past three inches on this one. It’s like three and eight, so there it is guys it hits the small stuff it hits the big stuff.
It loves nickels past three inches on both of them: the war, nickel and the vehicle there. So the only thing really a big old brass coin right here, oh boy, he likes that one well Apple, four inches on this french sin time.
This is an 1840s French sin time right here that I dug in Colorado at like 2 inches. Think of that we’re almost that yeah. It is at 4 inches that’s, bonkers right there. That is bonkers right there, so it’ll reach out and touch somebody.
That is for sure guys. What do you say? We throw the other head unit on there and call it a video all right. We got the scuba end on there or the the coil the larger end. I don’t know what you want. I guess you could scuba-dive with either in it wouldn’t matter.
Would it see if it hits the penny or are not the penny of the BB? Yes, it does, but it has to be like pretty much right on it or even inside, of the little loop for it to hit it, but it will hit it. So that is quite impressive, for even with the big loop there that it will hit it, let’s, try the silver dime right here.
It looks like we’re, hitting that at about three inches, it’s three and a quarter so a little bit of an improvement with the larger coil on here we’ll. Try the wheat penny next looks like we’re well, past three inches now three and a half, so we’re, definitely getting an improvement, let’s! Try the silver war nickels like that four inches.
Basically, all right! Let’s. Try the V nickel here so regular old V, nickel right four inches a little under! Maybe the tear under just maybe 1/16. Under there try this thin 10k gold ring and went right out three inches.
So we’re, improving basically on everything everything’s, going up with this larger head unit on there here’s, a big old half, you know almost four inches on that and let’s. Try this big old French, the same time.
You know that we’re past five inches. They’re right like five and a quarter, and it’s, picking that up bonkers bonkers bonkers, so there it is. I mean that’s, pretty much everything. Let me hit power turn it off.
Look at that. I mean that is pretty darn nice. There’s, the other unit right in there for size comparison, the pointer in so that would be right. There that’s about how they look side-by-side the length on it when it’s set together, so there it is guys the pulse dive from not the macro.
What a good bit of Kent this is. I mean with the case with everything you get included for it I mean my opinion well worth the 160. They’re charging. Well worth it well worth it. I had a lot of fun at the lake with this I’m telling you had a lot of fun with it, yeah well worth the 160.
Who are you gonna call Craig show me treasure, let him know the hunter GT simcha. I hope you guys enjoy these reviews. These videos me hunting down at the park me doing these review videos. Yes, the simplex is coming up stay tuned guys the simplex is coming up, but for today it’s, the pulse diet.
Getting all the credit. I like it, it’s, a great great little pointer. I mean I don’t know it’s, a great little pin pointer, scuba detector, all in once. I like it. I, like it a lot so the hunter GT signing off.
